First and Finest

Celtic Grove is definitively the original and longest-running Celtic music webcast on the Internet - the Ancestor of online Celtic music news/broadcasts so to speak. It began in 1998 as a Celtic music news and review web site featuring spot entertainment and a variety of multimedia content. In August of 1999 the site grew to offer 24/7 streaming radio webcasts of both traditional and contemporary Celtic music artists. Soon to celebrate 11 years as the "First and Finest", Celtic Grove continues to entertain a dedicated audience.

2002_homepageUnique among sites of its kind, Celtic Grove began by providing exclusive webcasts of live performances from well-known Celtic artists. Special features quickly expanded to include live and recorded artist interviews, call-in shows and an annual live St. Patricks day celebration, now a venerable tradition for many listeners. In addition to an expanding archive of exclusive live recordings, Celtic Grove's success with its fans and history of technical achievments has earned many accolades. The site achieved "Best of Planet" in Celtic Music webcasting for 5 consecutive years according to nationwide polling of listeners from major service providers like Shoutcast, iM-Networks and Philips Streamium. It was awarded 4 Doras by Irish Telecom for its unique coverage of the living tradition of Celtic music and continues to demonstrate remarkable listener loyalty.
