The Young Dubliners have just returned from the Tonder Festival in Denmark and report a huge success. The band heads out stateside again in September. First up is the Gramercy Theater in New York City on Thursday, September 10th. Opening the show will be SEVEN NATIONS, a Celtic Grove perennial favorite. Eric Rigler of Bad Haggis will be on hand to unleash his unique celtic flare in his performance with the band.
This is a landmark performance for The Dubs, as it will be the first performance in Manhattan since the release of their new album SAINTS AND SINNERS. Press and Critics will abound, so they will need the support of all their fans.
The show starts early ~ 8pm for 7N and 9pm for The Dubs, making it easy to attend on a Thursday and be home by midnight. The bands are promising a great show - a promise easy to fulfill, with The Dubs, SEVEN NATIONS and Eric Rigler of Bad Haggis on the roster!
Read on for a great live live interview on Youtube and ticket purchase information. It's a large venue, so tickets should be available at the door. Be there!
It has been noted that ticket prices are listed incorrectly if you try to purchase from the Gramercy Theatre website. For the best prices, be sure to purchase directly from The Young Dubliners Tour page on that website!
The Dubs and Eric Rigler did a great interview from Tonder, Denmark with Jan Borges. The interview took place in the backstage tent, following an appearance at the final Sunday Ceilidh of the Tonder Folk Festival. Somewhat weary from the stretch of performances, Keith soldiers on to share some background on the bands name - which harkens to another Celtic Grove favorite - The Dubliners. Then they summon up an impromptu performance of the solemn tune "In The End" from their new album SAINTS AND SINNERS. Watch it! |
